Healthcare for underprivileged children
Pinky, a bubbly young girl was afflicted with a rare heart disorder. Her father, a poor sweeper, was unable to pay the INR 200,000, the usual charges for such an operation. We stepped in and performed it free of cost. Pinky is now a healthy teenager looking to the future. Through MAX HEALTHCARE with its exemplary network of hospitals, medcentres and state of the art institutes. Max India Foundation has been able to help nearly a hundred such severely ill children, regain normal lives. Their smiles are our reward
 
A helping hand, A caring attitude
Often, the underprivileged do not have access to quality medical facilities simply because of lack of easy access. 
Max India Foundation, in partnership with Chinmaya Mission, is running a health centre in New Delhi's Sunlight Colony to serve the needy and disadvantaged in this area
 
Free Artificial Limbs for Underprivileged
Max India Foundation works with Manav Seva Sannidhi to provide free artificial limbs and polio calipers to people with disability. The unique feature of this program is the emotional and psychological support provided to help each patient cope with their handicap, ensuring a high rate of success. 
Pan India Immunization - Max India Foundation and Max Life Insurance Co. Ltd. in partnership with local NGOs reach out to underprivileged in remotest areas for providing vaccinations to children between 0-12 years of age for deadly diseases like Hepatitis B, DPT, MMR, and Measles. It’s a special initiative where in employees from Max Life Insurance Co. Ltd. along with an empanelled doctor volunteer for the program. The program was launched on 12th July 2008. To date we have covered 17397, 36042 shots through 286 camps in 81 locations. MIF has also made a small film on Oral Health and Hygiene awareness. It is screened at the camps for the patients awaiting their turn to be checked.
Blood Donation camps – through our Max Life Insurance Co. Ltd. offices we encourage employees to pledge and donate blood to ensure that no life is lost for the reason where we can be of some help
Day care for street children- JAMGHAT - Started on 23 May 08 with partner NGO, “JAMGHAT - a group of street children” in the Jama Masjid Area. 50 children benefitted. A Doctor from Max Health Care visits the centre once a week for a Health Check up of the children and gives free medicines. Apart from this meals are given to children every day. On various occasions we donate clothes and items for sanitation and hygiene. We have also conducted Immunization of children
 
 
 
 

 
 

 
 

 
 

 
  MIF in Ladakh - 2nd to 7th August, 2010.

Dear All,
Working towards our mission to provide quality healthcare to the underprivileged in places where they have no access to it, we planned health camps in the remote areas of Ladakh in association with the Army located there. After three months of planning, we left for Ladakh with a team of Doctors and technicians on 1st August.
The team comprised of our very senior and experienced specialists:

  Making a better life for children

  Assuring cancer patients  
 

Cancer patients and their families need support and reassurance to cope with the long-drawn out treatment and its side-effects. Max India Foundation has partnered with CanSupport to offer palliative care to advanced cancer patients, from disadvantaged backgrounds.

 
 

CanSupport offers free services such as Home Care, Day Care, counselling and therapy through centres across Delhi and NCR, by a team of dedicated nurses, doctors and volunteers

Max India Foundation is committed to sponsoring and supporting more such field centres.
Adoption of Government School, Rail Majra
 
Teach a child and you create a better world. In the same spirit, Max India Foundation with Max Speciality Products has adopted the local government high school at Rail Majra village near Ropar, Punjab. The foundation provides books, stationery and clothes to the children. School children and their families will be taught basic hygiene and made aware of health-related issues. From April 2009 there has been a considerable amount of Improvement in Class X results after introduction of extra tutorials to the children. In April 2009, 100% pass percentage was achieved as compared to 55% in 2008. In 2010, 99% pass percentage was achieved.
   
  Rail Majra Health centre
 
Near MSF factory serves the underprivileged population in and around the village Rail Majra. More than 35556 patients have been treated to date through the Health Centre and provided with free Medicines
   
  Life Line Express Project
 
Max India Foundation through Max Healthcare set up a hospital for the underprivileged of Madhya Pradesh on board the Lifeline Express in partnership with Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Swasthya Seva Mission
 
At Dabra, Gwalior from 7 March 2010 to 1 April 2010. A total of 9124 patients examined. 268 cataract operations conducted, 18 reconstructive, 25 orthopaedic surgeries and 464 cardiac patients screened. 4846 patients were given spectacles
At Morena from 26 March to 16 April 2011. A total of 19904 patients were examined. 377 cataract operations conducted and 4990 patients were given spectacles. 15 reconstructive surgeries were conducted and 1840 cardiac patients were screened. Orthopaedic consultation were given to the needy.
